What we collect

When you use the tool or a form, we collect what you provide: your name, email, optional phone and state, the franchise you are evaluating, your answers about its disclosures, the resulting transparency grade, and any optional qualification details (capital range, timeline, notes). We also collect basic technical data such as the page you submitted from and a timestamp.

How we use it

  • To generate and send your Franchise Transparency Score breakdown.
  • To follow up about a deeper evaluation or to answer your questions.
  • To improve the tool and our content. We never use your data to compute or publish earnings figures.

Phone contact and TCPA consent

We only call or text you if you provide a phone number and separately check the consent box, which is never pre-checked. Phone consent is optional and is not a condition of using the tool or receiving your breakdown. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text, telling us on a call, or emailing [email protected]. We log consent and opt-out requests.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (for example, our email and hosting providers, Cloudflare), and, where you have asked us to evaluate or introduce you to a specific franchise or service, with the parties needed to do that, as described in our Compensation & Independence disclosure. We disclose information if required by law.

Data retention and security

We keep lead and evaluation data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of marketing contact, by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA or GDPR.
