What we collect

When you use the guide, the Item 19 check, or a form, we collect what you provide: your name, email, optional phone and state, the franchise you are evaluating, and any optional qualification details (capital range, timeline, notes). We also collect basic technical data such as the page you submitted from and a timestamp.

How we use it

  • To send the guide and the Item 19 check you requested.
  • To follow up about connecting you with a franchise expert, or to answer your questions.
  • To improve the guide and our content. We never use your data to compute or publish earnings figures.

Phone contact and TCPA consent

We only call or text you if you provide a phone number and separately check the consent box, which is never pre-checked. Phone consent is optional and is not a condition of using the guide or contacting us. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text, telling us on a call, or emailing [email protected]. We log consent and opt-out requests.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (for example, our email and hosting providers, Cloudflare). We do not read or evaluate your FDD for you. See why this guide is free. We disclose information if required by law.

Data retention and security

We keep lead and contact data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of marketing contact, by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA or GDPR.
